Testing Wordpress on my Blackberry

By Stuart Lee, March 20, 2010 12:43 am

I’ve downloaded Wordpress on my Blackberry and this post is written using the app. Curious how this post will look like :-P If it’s good, I hope I will update my blog more often :-)

8 Principles of FUN!

By Stuart Lee, December 10, 2009 12:39 am

I just have to post this, because I’ve been thinking a lot lately…

A crazy friend of mine sent me this video and it’s hilarious (well at least for me…and Crazy friend knows why :-P )

Although I have been LMAO, but the message of this video is so true :-)

Thank you Crazy Friend for sharing and let’s do our best to have some fun ;-)

Stop procrastinating….just do it :)

November 15th…..that was my last post. I said in my previous post that I’ll update soon, but I haven’t done that. I always have lot in my mind to write, but I never have (or make) the time to do it. Somehow I always want to write everything down, as much as possible. And apparently it isn’t working….

I do update my FB status frequently…but that’s because a FB status is just one or two sentences :-) So I have decided to update my site more often, but with small posts.

If something’s come up in my mind, I’ll post it! Just like my FB status :-)

Some friends are worried because of my FB status some time ago. Don’t worry, I’m doing my best to let it go ;-)

Hi all!

Time flies when having fun :-)

I haven’t been updating my site lately as you may have noticed…

It’s not like nothing is happening in my life, it’s the opposite. I have been so busy planning my trip to China. The trip was amazing and I had a really great time. So I can scratch another thing off from my 26th years old-list :-)

What have been keeping me busy the past few months?

- watching movies
- attending concerts
- the birth of my goddaughter Yasmine
- my sister’s holiday in Netherlands
- a trip to Cologne with family
- a trip to Munich with friends (and Coldplay concert)
- planning my trip to China
- my one month trip to China with friends
- working :-P
- killing my Macbook Pro
- the usual stuff like meeting with friends and having fun ;-)

I will let my sister make a new lay-out for my website and try my utmost best to update the blog :-P
There are already some exciting things coming up….the most important one is of course: I’m going to see Utada Hikaru live!!!! She’s going to tour in USA and UK. There’s just one concert in London and I’ve managed to get tickets :-) It’s sold out within one day, so I’m so lucky ;-)

Keep an eye out for this blog, it’s going to be updated soon :-)

Movie Reviews Summary Part 1

By Stuart Lee, May 31, 2009 11:55 pm

I haven’t watched too many movies lately….I know I should go to the cinema more often because I’m a Pathe Unlimited member…but I’ll try to go at least twice a month :-) Here’s the first part of movies I have seen the past few months and see how they scored :-)

Burn After Reading
Amsterdam, November 11th 2008

burn_after_reading_movie_poster_onesheet_coen_brothers.jpg

A movie by the Coen brothers. I enjoyed the movie very much, especially Brad Pitt was hilarious in the movie. At the end you will really wonder why you are actually watching this movie…..They said in the movie: “report to me…..when it all makes sense”….that says enough about how much sense this movie makes :-P

Wanted
Amsterdam, November 13th 2008

I went to see this movie with G & S and although I have enjoyed the movie, it’s still quite too predictable. We saw the “shocking” unveiling of the secret coming ages ago………the special effects were nice and if you don’t think too much about the plot, it’s an enjoyable movie.

Madagscar 2
Amsterdam, November 19th 2008

madagascar-2-escape-africa-movie-poster.jpg

I have been looking forward to this movie since I have enjoyed the first one very much. But unfortunately, this one kinda disappoints me :-( It’s not that funny and the story is also quite weak….I do like the flying scene with Air Penguins, but if you have seen the trailer you have seen the best scene of the movie……Maybe next time better???

3/5 stars

Waltz With Bashir
Amsterdam, November 26th 2008

waltz_with_bashir_movie_poster.jpg

A documentary in a cartoon style. It got some rave reviews and have been nominated for many awards. So I did have high expectations. Unfortunately, I find it quite boring. Although the ending might be a bit shocking and will make you think about the movie, I haven’t been really enjoying watching it….

Boy A
Amsterdam, November 27th 2008

I’ve heard some good reviews about the movie and was really curious. I managed to persuade G. to go with me to this movie and she’s not really into art house movies :-P But she’s thankful now that I made her going to watch this movie :-)

It’s been a while that I like a movie so much. The movie is about a young man, who has been in prison for 14 years. He was 10 when he was put in prison and after 14 years he gets a new identity, a job, a place to live…….a new beginning. He started to make friends, to go out, to date with a girl…all kind of things he has missed in his teenage years. While he was trying hard to adjust to his new life, he’s feeling like he’s betraying his friends and girlfriend because he can’t say anything about his past. Using short flashbacks, the audience will see what crime Boy A has commited. But can the world forgive his crime? Or more important: can you, as a viewer, forgive his crime and give him a second chance?

After seeing the movie, I was asking myself: “Did I have pity in a murderer”? To be honest, I even had watery eyes……Go watch this movie, highly recommended!

My iPod Collection

Amsterdam, Sunday May 31st 2009

Today I’ve been cleaning my room and when I saw my box of Apple stuff I couldn’t bear to take all my iPods and take a picture :-P

And here’s my collection :-)

I’m still wondering why I haven’t bought the iPod nano 2nd generation……now I miss that one!

Sisley Products…..for a great deal :)

Amsterdam, Saturday May 30th 2009

I went shopping with YC. After having lunch at Bakkerswinkel we strolled the Kalverstraat. We noticed that we barely walked into shops…..guess we are quite bored of Amsterdam :-P
Mission of today for me is to buy Sisley products and D&G sneakers which I’ve been eyeing for a while….

It’s Skin care weeks @ ICI Paris XL, so if you buy three skin care products you will receive 25% discount.

I’ve waited with buying because I knew Douglas will have Sisley promotion starting from June 2nd, so I waited till I know what the promotion is. The promotion of Douglas is: 15% discount and with spending 150 Euro or more on Sisley products you will receive a Sisley bag with mini products. The products are not exactly the one I’m looking for and I decided to buy at ICI Paris XL.

I’ve bought 7 Sisley products. A cleansing bar, a daily scrub, a mask, a lotion, two creams and an eye gel:

And the damage? Hold your breath…..412 EUR!!! I did have receive a discount of 137.50 EUR :-)

After being a bit shocked at the fact that I have spent so much money, we drank some tea before setting out to Shoebaloo for my D&G sneakers :) They costs 225 EUR, but unfortunately they are sold out….and they won’t stock it anymore because the Fall/Winter 2009 collection is now coming….I should have buy immediately when I saw them

Back from a long hiatus…

By Stuart Lee, May 24, 2009 6:54 pm

First of all, I have to apologize for this long hiatus….I know it’s been ridiculous. The last blog post was in November :S

I’m sure you’ll be wondering what I’ve been up to…. even so busy that he doesn’t have time to blog?!?!

It all started with my birthday. I’m not a person who likes to celebrate birthdays, and friends should know that I always complain getting older…but this year it’s worse. Normally I would just make jokes about getting older, but on my last birthday I have a good reflection about my past year……and it makes me depressive.

I really need some change in my life. And quick too!

And I have to admit that these past 6 months have been a roller coaster ride for me….a lot have changed and happened.

I’ve applied for a Masterclass at Cmotions, a marketing consultancy company, and after three selection rounds I secured a place in the Masterclass. The Masterclass is a six weeks course and I will get to learn everything about Marketing Data Analysis. During the six weeks, Cmotions will also help you to find a job and they have a job guarantee :-) The course started on 5 January 2009. So I quit my job at Telegraaf Media Group…..which was also really strange for me. I have been working there for almost 8 years, and I really have got some mixed feelings when I left the building.

I was happy that I can start a new chapter in my life, but Telegraaf was also a place where I felt safe and made some good friends.

Anyway, after I heard I got accepted for the Masterclass I have been busy with the house (my mother was on holiday), preparations to renovate our house and the wedding of Joyce.

Joyce, who I have known since my kindergarten, announce she was getting married on December 18th….and she announced it 3 weeks before her marriage!

On December 12th, I had my last selection round. A 3 hour long assessment at Cmotions office. Afterwards I heard that I got through! My sister who lives in Singapore at that moment also announced that she will be transfered to Hong Kong. So that day is quite a day of change for both of us. Of course we both called our mother to let her know the news who was in Hong Kong to attend my cousin’s wedding.

During the masterclass I was mostly busy with studying and after the masterclass I got a job at Oxxio. And like you probably know, a new job needs time to adjust. Not just the daily tasks, but also new colleagues, new environment and new working hours (it’s my first real job :-P )

I’m quite adjusted now and I like my new job. Now I’m more busy planning my holiday in October, socializing again (love the weekends now :-) ) and working of course ;-)

I will update my blog with some events of the past few months :-) And I will try to update my blog on a more regularly basis ;-)
